There are many parents out there who are disappointed because of the red bumps that occur on the face of their new born baby. One of the most common reason due to which red bumps occur on the face of the newborn is baby acne. Baby acne is likely to occur at the same age when the newborn baby suffers from fussiness and gas production. However, parents are very much concern about the appearance of the red bumps and also about their significance.

Red bumps are considered as the fleeting evidence of the relationship between the body of the mother and her child. During the final stage of pregnancy the hormones of mother crosses the placenta into her child. Due to this reason the oil glands of the child’s skin are stimulated thus resulting in baby acne.

It may be common to notice red or fleshy pimples on the skin of the newborn; however this type of pimples only occurs for few weeks. These types of pimples mainly occur on cheeks of the newborn and sometime they may also occur on chin and forehead of the newborn. Sometime whiteheads are also seen. These types of pimples tend to occur and disappear till the time baby crosses their 6 month.

If the blood flow is higher in your baby then the chances of having acne increases. Moreover, if the skin of your baby is irritated then also he or she may have acne problem. If in such situation their skin gets contacted with the cloth washed in harsh detergent or if their skin gets wet due to milk spitted up or salvia then the condition may become worse and it may linger on.

Baby acne is found in many newborn babies. Baby acne may be present in the newborn at birth however it can only be seen after few weeks. And they usually occur on cheeks, back, chin and sometime on forehead. This type of acne is always surrounded by red color skin. But if your baby is fussy and hot or if their skin is irritated then it may become more pronounced.

But the 272 that occurs on the face of the newborn and disappears after few weeks then it is known as milia. But in case if the bumps look more scaly or rashy than pimply and appearing on other parts of the body then your baby may be suffering from some other condition like eczema or cradle cap.
